REALTORS® and Builders to better understand and learn the importance of their
partnerships. It will be presented by REALTOR®/Builder Dee Denton, Owner

Topics to be discussed:
· Unique characteristics of Builders & Real Estate Agents
· Common points of interest between Builders & Real Estate Agents.
· Difference between a licensed Real Esate Agent/Broker and REALTOR®.
· Review Builders options for sales staff and how MREC law effects the
different options.
· Importance of market research to new construction
· Review mandated MREC forms & discuss how MREC law mandates their
use. (including Property Condition Form, Agency Disclosure Form and Dual
Agency Form)
· Real Estate Law, Contract Law and New Construction: How to make these
3 catagories come together easier.
· Punch List vs. New Home Orientation: What is considered Industry
Standard.

TUES Sep. 30th UPDATE "Mama Lou" has been moved to a Hospice Ministries, Room 206, in Ridgeland, despite her wishes. She said she is too ashamed to accept visitors b/c she doesn't "have her face on"! what a proud lady! BUT Flowers, love offerings, and PRAYERS are very much needed!
THANK YOU to those of you who have sent donations and cards and asked about Louise. It IS appreciated and we've told her who has done such.

NEW MLS SYSTEM FEB of 2009

You asked for it... You're getting it... Mark Your Calendars!
WHAT? List-It... A new state-of-the-art MLS system provided by Solid Earth.
WHEN? Launching in February with MANDATORY 3-hour training in January
Over 80 brokers attended the MLS Vendor Preview on July 31 and made it overwhelmingly clear that they preferred the advanced List-It system. We listened to you and List-It will replace Tempo the first week in February.
In preparation for that launch MANDATORY MLS training will be scheduled in January. Six days have been set aside for training. MLS users will be required to attend one three-hour training session prior to gaining access to the new system. Office staff will be encouraged to attend as well. The dates to hold are January 20, 21, 22, 27, 28 and 29. You will be notified later of the schedule of sessions. Here are just a few of the features you have to look forward to with List-It:

As you know, as of Oct. 1st, Ameridream-type seller contribution loans will be history. Most 100% loans are going the way of the dinosaurs. These are unpopular with some b/c of a fear of over-inflating home values to artificial levels and having people in homes with no vested money.
That being said, many of us have found them very useful.
Now that they are gone, some options remain. I'll pass along details from time to time on new or overlooked options.
1st- the USDA Rural Housing Loan.
YOU'D BE SURPRISED AT HOW MANY HOMES IN THE SUBURBS (especially new subdivisions) QUALIFY

Good luck and ask your Lender about it! IT CAN BE USEFUL and I Understand it is Increasing in popularity daily!
